Momentum Skills Project Shortlisted for Self Management Award
Momentum Skills’ garden project in Glasgow has made the shortlist in the Self Management Project of the Year category of the Self Management Awards.
Hosted by Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE), the Awards aim to highlight examples of good practice and promote a range of innovative self management work from all over Scotland.
The garden project, based in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow, is part of a wider programme run by Momentum Skills which helps people to rebuild their lives after sustaining a brain injury.
Individuals taking part in the garden project have seen benefits from increased confidence and more stamina to learning a range of practical skills that they can use in their everyday life, helping them to manage the effects of their brain injury more effectively.
Self Management Award winners will be announced at the Parliamentary Reception hosted by Duncan McNeill MSP on Wednesday 2 October 2013.
The Awards coincide with Self Management Week which runs from 1 – 5 October.
