Borders Community Bake Sale Success

On the 13th May 2017 Momentum’s Borders Brain Injury Support workers held a coffee morning with the service users in Peebles Ex Service man's club , this event was created to help raise awareness of the service and give the service users a chance to get together to raise money for future events.

The morning went really well and the home baked cakes went down a treat with the local community with a staggering £386 pounds raised!

Momentums Support Worker for the Borders Brain Injury Service Katy Harkin stated

“It was a very successful event! We raised the awareness within the community of the service we can offer alongside our Money Matters programme so that people with brain injuries may get the support and help that they might not know they could have, to raise the amount of money for future events was a nice surprise and all the service users had an amazing day in the process. “
